Simply a Moment: 4:22 p.m. on 4/22/22
The herb garden is waking up. The chives thrive and the oregano peeps through last year's detritus of stems and leaves.
The lilacs have buds but the wind makes them hard to photograph. The gale and the warm temperatures feel like storm-brewing weather. Maybe rain will fall later. I hope so.
To celebrate Earth Day, I cast on Sarah's Dish Cloth from leftover yarn.
Happy Earth Day.
I love that dish cloth. Making something that is truly reusable like that is just a great way to celebrate Earth Day. Have a good weekend. :-)
ReplyDeleteI need to look through my bits and bobs to make that dishcloth. Your chives look great! Our lilac is budded and they keep getting larger, but so far they are still very tight.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors you've chosen for your dishcloth! I need to find some bright leftovers and whip up one or two for myself, since the two I knit before both went to my mother.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that our chives came back last week, and this week our oregano and mint are finally peeking out!
Happy Earth day to yoU!!!!! Your dishc1oth is great. We had downpours of rain that changed yesterday's Earth day p1ans here. I'm knitting a simp1e garter shaw1 again.
ReplyDeleteSome hyacinth are coming up. We have tu1ip and daffodi1s in their greens up too. No f1owers yet
ooo! I love that dish cloth start! :)
ReplyDeleteI have a lilac bush but so far nothing is happening on it, I fear it will be bud free!! Happy Earth day to you!!
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I finish my shawl (I'm 3 long rows and a bind-off away), I'm planning to cast on one of Sarah's dishcloths. Well. Sarah's pattern. It will be my dishcloth. ;-) It's so lovely to signs of spring everywhere! (I do hope you get some rain. . . )
ReplyDeleteSpring Green(s) is my favorite color right now! love that dishcloth. and how you acknowledged Earth Day.
